INTERCHANGEABILITY STATEMENT

INFORMATION LETTER   AA20250909 INTERCHANGEABILITY STATEMENT

Date: September 9, 2025

To: All Owners and Operators of Augusta Bell Helicopters

From: Airwolf Aerospace LLC

Airwolf Aerospace LLC manufactures FAA-approved replacement components originally produced by Bell Textron Inc. (“Bell”) and Leonardo Helicopters (“LHD”), formerly Agusta, for Augusta-Bell (AB) helicopter products. These components are produced under FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) using Bell’s approved design data and are eligible for installation on applicable AB helicopter models with a valid FAA Form 8130-3 Airworthiness Approval Tag.

This statement is consistent with Bell Textron’s Information Letter GEN-21-150 (May 10, 2021), which outlines the interchangeability of Bell-manufactured parts for AB products. Bell confirms that parts bearing Bell part numbers, when manufactured by Bell and supported by FAA Form 8130-3, are eligible for installation on AB helicopters. However, Bell also clarifies that parts produced by Leonardo Helicopters (LHD) under the former Agusta license agreement do not share FAA or Transport Canada certification privileges and are not eligible for installation on U.S. or Canadian type-certificated aircraft—even if part numbers are identical.

Similarly, AgustaWestland’s Information Letter AB412-06-003 (November 15, 2006) affirms that Agusta-produced parts are designed to be functionally equivalent to Bell parts under the license agreement. However, it also acknowledges that Agusta components are not authorized for installation on Bell Helicopter Textron aircraft registered in FAA, MOT, or EASA jurisdictions unless supplied or authorized by Bell. This reinforces the importance of maintaining configuration control and avoiding non-approved mixing of parts from different vendors.

Airwolf Aerospace’s PMA components are manufactured in accordance with FAA-approved design data derived from Bell’s original specifications. As such, they meet the regulatory requirements for installation and continued airworthiness on AB helicopter models. These parts are not derived from LHD or Agusta design data and are not subject to the interchangeability limitations outlined in the referenced OEM letters. We remain committed to supporting the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of your aircraft. Should you have any questions regarding this interchangeability guidance, please contact Airwolf Aerospace directly.

Sincerely,

Airwolf Aerospace LLC
